PET release film, also known as PET silicone oil film, is made by coating a layer of silicone oil onto the surface of a PET film to reduce adhesion and achieve a release effect. It can be divided into single-sided and double-sided release films. Based on release force, it can be classified as light, medium, and heavy release films. Commonly used thicknesses include: 0.012mm, 0.019mm, 0.025mm, 0.038mm, 0.05mm, 0.075mm, 0.1mm, 0.125mm, and 0.188mm. Production Process of Release Film
PET release film, also known as heat transfer film, peel-off film, release film, slip film, thinner, silicone film, anti-stick film, silicone release paper, silicone paper, masking film, and PET transfer film, is mainly used as a carrier for vacuum metallization. The process involves placing the PET film in a vacuum metallization machine for metallization, applying adhesive, laminating it with paper, and then peeling off the PET film. The aluminum molecular layer is transferred to the cardboard surface through the adhesive, forming what is known as metallized cardboard. The production process of metallized cardboard is: PET base film → release layer → color layer → metallization layer → adhesive layer → transfer to cardboard.
